Connie's Trunks gives tired old trunks new life from the beautiful shores of Sebago Lake, Maine.

Antique Trunk #475 - Smaller Size, Darker Trunk with Two Locks

Here's a popular size trunk since it fits just about anywhere. It's very rare to have two locks and a hasp versus having the normal two hasps and one lock usually located in the center of the trunk. It's a beautiful piece of history. The top is almost flat and offers a nice useable surface.

  1. The wood, metal trim and straps are a darker tone giving the trunk a rich, rustic look.

  2. The two locks are original, and each is slightly different. They do not come with a key, but they lay nice and flat.

  3. The #2 hasp works great and keeps the top secure.

  4. The hardware is original, including the lift centered above the hasp.

  5. The replacement leather handles are from, while the star design handle hardware is original and in great shape.

  6. Each side has a guide to help line the top and bottom up to keep them secure during travel.

  7. The top and bottom scallop hardware did a good job protecting the edges.

The outside is protected with satin polyurethane and then has been waxed and hand-rubbed for added softness. Since the finish is waterproof, you don't have to worry about damaging the finish.

  1. The original paper liner has been removed due to its age. The inside has been sanded and then protected with satin polyurethane.

The trunk measures 28.25 inches wide, 18 inches front to back, and 20.5 inches tall (measurements include hardware). Bottom rollers help with mobility.
