Antique Trunk #476 - Beautiful Medium Size Trunk with Working Lock & Key

This is a great trunk from the 1880s. The wood tone is warm and in good condition. Itís amazing when you think about its age and its history!

Outside

  1. Both hasps have built in lifts which help to take undue stress off the back hinges when lifting the lid.

  2. The lock works great and comes with a key. The top and bottom fancy lock plates add to its beauty.

  3. The top has a slight curve offering a great useable surface.

  4. Replacement leather handles are from Brettunsvillage.com, while the handle hardware is original.

  5. Outside finish is protected with satin Polyurethane and then hand rubbed for extra softness.

  6. The built-in metal straps pass under the hardwood slats to offer more stability for safe travel.

  7. The rear hinges roll over the top edge for protection.

  8. We replaced the missing outside metal bottom with thin wood and added bottom rollers to help with mobility.

  9. Trunk has beautiful protective corner hardware.
