Connie's Trunks gives tired old trunks new life from the beautiful shores of Sebago Lake, Maine.

Antique Trunk #505 - Unusual 1880s Smaller Trunk with Leatherette Trim, Original Hardware, and Eagle Lock & Key

This is such a compact, well-built trunk. It's simply beautiful. The warm color tone of the wood and leatherette is a nice contrast with the hardware. This treasure was as well protected as any of the pristine larger trunks. The top has a very slight curve, offering a nice display surface. The combination of its size, condition, and hardware makes this a rare beauty.

  1. All the hardware is original.

  2. The hasps include built-in lifts.

  3. The top and bottom edge both have fancy protective hardware.

  4. The three rear hinges wrap around the back edge for protection.

  5. The guides on each side of the lock and wrap-around corner hardware help to keep the top and bottom in line for secure travel.

  6. The Eagle lock works great and comes with a key.

  7. The trunk's leatherette trim and wide center strip are in amazing condition for its age.

  8. Leather replacement straps and handles are from Brettunsvillage. The leather strap guides are original.

  9. The bottom has four built-in rollers to help with mobility.

  1. The inside offers a great storage area.
